Boots A-Plenty and Snow Football

I can't believe it is February already. Yet, here we are.

Last week I started Winter/Spring Semester back at school. I rock boots every day to class, whether it's my actual winter boots, my tall leather (wear only with skinny jeans or leggings) boots, the cowboy boots, or my awesome rain boots. Getting to wear boots 24/7 makes winter so much more fun. I mean just look at these...

It seems like my classes will be pretty interesting, just a lot of reading. I had over 100 pages assigned before the first day of class...welcome to Senior year I guess. It's been interesting trying to focus on comparative government and communication theory reading when my soldier leaves for about a year in just two weeks, but I'm making it work.

January was full of adventures, as always. There were some crazy nights out with friends, birthday celebrations, lots and lots of work, snow football games and more.

Funny story... at our annual snow football game my boy lost his car keys. In the snow.
We ended up getting his car towed to his house (thanks AAA!), and borrowing a metal detector from a friend to sweep the field. We didn't find them. Thankfully, his friend found the set he had lost two weeks earlier and he can drive his car again. It looks like we'll be visiting said field again in the spring to search in the mud :) He had never lost a set of keys before this whole ordeal, and probably never will again, ha!

Here are some snow football shots:

When you live in a part of the country where there is snow on the ground on average 5-6 months of the year, you make the best of it. Plus, snow football is extremely fun and extremely good exercise. Running in 2+ feet of snow is more difficult that it sounds.

Happy Super Bowl Sunday to you all, enjoy those ads and the game too!
